Why are you attached to a computer instead of a bike? Get out and ride.

Fixed riders in Eugene, Oregon are gathering to ride sorta maybe. Maybe they're just a bunch of independent riders. Anyone interested in riding with other fixers can email Walter.

Portland has a pair of regular weekly fixed rides:

River City Fixed-Gear Ride
Every Sunday, 9:30 am, RCB, free. 90-minutes to two hours of urban meandering. Chatty, with occasional ventures into the West Hills. 63-inch gear recommended (42x18). Please dress brightly to enhance group visibility.

Semi-Epic Fixed-Gear Ride
Every Wednesday, 9 am, starting from the Chart House Restaurant, 5700 SW Terwilliger Blvd, free. (Don't park your car in the Chart House parking lot; ride your bike there instead.) Approximately 40 miles, with 2,700' of climbing. A 63-inch gear works best (42x18).
